New International Protection Act for Asylum Process
The Tánaiste and Minister for Justice and Equality, Frances Fitzgerald TD announced the introduction of the International Protection Act 2015, which will commence in 1st January 2017.

This act concerns asylum seekers and those seeking international protection . This means all application for asylum in Ireland  submitted from 31st  December 2016, will be considered in a single application procedure by  the new  International Protection Office which is different from the previous long process administered by ORAC.

This new reform will ensure that people seeking international protection or asylum in Ireland receive a quick response to their application and spend few months in the Direct Provision System.
